I'm Chris Brooks
I started playing electric guitar in 1987 and have been enamored with the shred side of guitar ever since.
I've studied at the Australian Institute of Music, played in bands and recorded music for over 30 years, released two instrumental solo albums, created a catalogue of 18 chart-topping Guitar Technique and vocabulary-based books, and released a groundbreaking video course called Viking Shred Guitar Suite.
As a guest columnist, I've also contributed to magazines like Guitar World and Guitar Techniques.
